The  body of  the Arab man, who was stabbed by his European  girlfriend  in the early hours of Saturday for not marrying her after a four- year relationship, has been handed over to his family. A  SECURITY  source at Dubai Police said that the operations room received a call from a European woman, saying there was a person who had been stabbed in her apartment in Al Nahda area. Police found the 38-year-old Arab man with multiple stab wounds lying on the bed. The European woman, 32, who was his girlfriend, then confessed that she had stabbed him and tried to commit suicide but she could not. The woman confessed to being the man's girlfriend and that they had been in a relationship for four years. She is currently awaiting trial.

Health officials in Sierra Leone have blamed the outbreak of the deadly  Ebola Virus  on a female herbalist who claimed to have power to heal people of the disease. The health officials said the disease should not have spread from Guinea to Sierra Leone, but for the herbalist who lived in the  eastern  border village of Sokoma.  “She was claiming to have powers to heal Ebola. Cases from Guinea were crossing into Sierra Leone for treatment,” Mohamed Vandi, the top medical official in the hard-hit district of Kenema, told  Agence France-Presse . “She got infected and died. During her funeral, women around the other towns got infected.” The herbalist’s mourners fanned out across the rolling hills of the Kissi tribal chiefdoms, starting a chain reaction of infections, deaths, funerals and more infections. The deadly Ebola Virus has claimed the lives of more than 1,300 people in West Africa as well as a Spanish Priest who died last week in Spain.

Minister of Health, Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu, speaking today August 6th at a news conference in Abuja said a Nigerian nurse has died from the Ebola Virus. He said the nurse worked at the Lagos hospital where Liberian Patrick Sawyer was treated. He said she died yesterday August 5th. He also revealed that five medical practitioners who interacted with Sawyer have been confirmed to have contracted the deadly virus "Nigeria has now recorded seven confirmed cases of Ebola Virus Disease. The first one was the index case, which is the imported case from Liberia of which the victim is now late. Yesterday, 5th August, 2014, the first known Nigerian to die of the EVD was recorded and this was one of the nurses that attended to the Liberian. The other five cases are currently being treated at the Isolation Ward in Lagos.” he said The Minister noted that all Nigerians diagnosed with the disease had primary contact with the late Liberian man. Three years after he lost his wife, late iconic singer Christy Essien Igbokwe, Chief Edwin Igbokwe secretly married Oluchi Phillips. What many don't know about his new wife is that she's an actress who has featured in the highly watched soap opera, Tinsel, and aparingly in other movies. The couple knew each other for many years and were good friends, so it was only natural that he would turn to her when he needed a partner to spend the rest of his life with. Mr Igbokwe explains; "It was a family thing. I knew her father before the war. She is 42 years old. I also knew her mother. Even when my mother died many years ago, they came to pay condolence visit all the way from their place. You know, when people who are close to you are coming from a far place. They come with yam, palm oil and other things. They did that and that was when the mother introduced her to me as her daughter and I, as her son. It was mummy (late Christy Essien) that received them in Awka.

The guy pictured on the left is Jeffrey Okafor, the UK police is searching for him over the 2009 murder of Carl Beatson Asiedu (pictured right - who is also Nigerian). He was stabbed to death in the early hours of August 1 2009 outside a night club after an argument with Jeffery and his friends. Jeffery then fled to Nigeria after the murder. The Liberian man who was being  tested for Ebola virus in Lagos  reportedly passed away earlier today. The man,  Patrick Sawyer,  had been quarantined since falling ill after arriving in Lagos for a conference last Sunday,  Business Day  reports. A Liberian government official disclosed the information to the Nigerian embassy this morning. According to reports, Sawyer tested positive for the virus. A small plane carrying 6 American soldiers today July 18th crash landed on a highway outside Uganda's capital Kampala after running out of fuel. It had to make a quick safe landing to avoid any disaster. Reports say the plane which took off from the Entebbe airport in Uganda was heading to neighboring South Sudan when their aircraft was forced to turn back due to bad weather and then land on a highway after running out of fuel approximately 40 miles from the airport. Eleven months after he died on August 22, 2013, Spiritual leader of Christ Revival Victory Chapel International, Prophet Elijah Iretiola Ajanaku, has finally been buried. He was buried yesterday July 17th in his compound in Ikola, Agbado Oke Odo LCDA. His family refused to bury him all these months because they believed he wasn't dead. They were convinced after 11 months that he was truly gone. I actually have a pic of him in his casket before he was laid to rest but it's quite a sight, don't know if you guys want to see it..
